Homemade Masks

Masks, in addition to those made by cosmetics manufacturers, can make our masks from various natural ingredients, this is in line with the movement back to nature. Natural ingredients that can be used as mask ingredients are vegetables, fruits, oatmeal, eggs, and honey, but choose ingredients, both plants and fruits of good quality, really ripe and fresh. For milk, eggs, honey, and oats can be selected, which are still fresh and have not expired.

Examples of homemade masks using natural ingredients:

Avocado

Avocados have the fat content that is useful to moisturize the skin because it is suitable for the treatment of dry skin to become moist, soft, and tight. How to crush one avocado, mix with one tablespoon of honey and stir well. Apply to face leave for + 10 minutes until it dries, rinse with warm water.

Orange

Squeeze fresh orange juice from 2 oranges, mix with one box gelatin and stir well. Store in the refrigerator until it is quite dense. Then, apply it to the face evenly and leave for + 10 minutes and rinse with cold water and dry with a towel. This mask is suitable for normal and oily skin, especially in hot air, so that the face feels smooth and tight and not dry. Citrus fruits and peels can also be used as cleansers and fresheners suitable for oily skincare. For solvents: soak sweet orange peel in water.

Prick it with a fork and leave it overnight. Use to wash facial skin the next day. For freshener: dip a piece of cotton in water, squeeze it, and drop a few drops of fresh orange juice, then apply it to the face.

Lime

Acne on combination skin can use a type of lime mask. Another benefit of this mask is to overcome premature aging. How to squeeze ½ part of a lemon, mix with one egg whites that have been beaten rigidly, apply on the face and leave for + 15 minutes, rinse with warm water. This mask can be used all night, to get maximum results.

Milk powder

Masks from milk powder can soften, whiten, refresh, and shine on facial skin. For this purpose, use full cream milk powder so that the fat content can be utilized optimally. Low-fat milk and instant milk are less suitable for use as masks. The trick is to mix two tablespoons of powdered milk, one tablespoon of honey and two tablespoons of hot water, stir well, then apply on face and neck skin, leave for + 15 minutes until the mask dries. Rinse with special soap for the face and warm water. Apply moisturizer immediately afterward.

Egg

In the egg, two parts can be utilized, namely, egg yolk, which is suitable for the treatment of dry and healthy skin. The trick is to beat one egg yolk, add ½ lime juice and grated lime skin. Leave it overnight so that the egg absorbs oil from the orange peel. Apply to the face except for the area around the eyes and lips, leave for + 10 minutes and rinse with warm water. Egg white is suitable for oily skincare and can help tighten sagging skin. The way to beat is one egg white, add the ½ lime juice and grated lime skin. Cucumber

The concoction of cucumber is suitable for oily skin because it can reduce excessive oil levels. Cucumber masks can also provide freshness to dull and sunburned skin and can be used as a refresher. For covers, take one shredded cucumber water, mix with one tablespoon olive oil and four tablespoons of cooked fresh milk, stir well. Apply to the entire face and neck, leave for + 15 minutes, rinse with warm water. For freshener, grate one cucumber, strain, and take the water. With the help of a piece of cotton, apply cucumber water all over the face.

Strawberries

For oily skin, a strawberry mask is best used to shed dead skin cells and refresh dull skin. Strawberries are mixed with oatmeal containing vitamin B1 and zinc minerals, and berries can accelerate the regeneration of dead skin cells and soften dry skin. For oily skin, mix 50 grams of fruits and one tablespoon oatmeal, process with a blender, then apply to the entire face and neck while doing a light massage, leave to dry, and rinse with warm water. For dry skin, heat one tablespoon of butter until it melts, cool, then mix with 75 grams of fresh strawberries and process with a blender. Apply to the entire face and neck, let dry for 15 minutes, rinse with warm water and special soap for the front and immediately apply a moisturizer.

Tomato

In addition to being beneficial to the body, the content of vitamin C in tomatoes is also very good for health and skin softness. Regular use can help reduce the pores of the skin. Grate 1-2 tomatoes or process with a blender, mix with one tablespoon milk powder, and 25 ccs of orange juice, then stir well. Apply to the entire face and neck while doing a light massage, leave on for +15 minutes, rinse with warm water.

Papaya

Papaya fruit contains many nutrients that can prevent premature aging and rejuvenate the dermis layer in the skin. Masks from papaya are suitable for all skin types and can help moisturize the skin and can shed dead skin cells. The method is for crushed ½ papaya fruit, apply on face leave for 15 minutes and rinse with warm water.

Banana

Like papaya masks, banana masks can be used for all skin types, especially acne-prone skin. The content of substances contained in bananas can help deflate acne. Mash 1 ripe ambon banana immediately apply on face and neck, leave for + 15 minutes, rinse with warm water, and rinse again with cold water.

Melon and watermelon

Melons and watermelons store and bind much water so that it is suitable for use as a mask for dry skin or sunburn. The trick is thinly sliced ​​1/8 melon or watermelon, wrap the slices with gauze and put on the face, leave + 15 minutes, rinse with cold water.

Apple

Substances contained in apples can neutralize excessive oil on the face so suitable for oily skin. Grate 2 apples or process with a blender, immediately put on the front, leave + 15 minutes and rinse with warm water.

Overmount

This mask from oatmeal is used for oily skin. Mix 2 tablespoons of oatmeal and one tablespoon of lime, process with a blender until well blended. Put on the face while doing a light massage. Allow to dry and rinse with warm tea water until clean.

Carrot

Carrot masks can be used for dull skin and sunburn. Carrots mixed with honey and yogurt can provide nutrition to the surface. The content of beta-carotene in carrots will soften the skin and make the skin more radiant. Blend 3 carrots, mix with two tablespoons of honey and three tablespoons of yogurt, stir well. Apply to face while doing light massage upward, leave + 15 minutes, rinse with mineral water.

Potatoes or yam

Potato or yam mask can help reduce dark circles and eye bags that often appear if you lack sleep. Grated a potato or yam, wrap the grater, can be directly attached to the eyelid, or if filtered water is taken can be applied to the entire face so that the results can whiten the skin. How to use the mask should be evenly distributed throughout the surface of the skin of the face and neck, except for the lips and eyes. The eyes are covered with cotton and rest.

After the mask dries (+ 15 minutes), the mask is cleaned, by first the cover that has dried on the face is moistened, then cleaned using a moist, warm washcloth until it is clean. After cleansing the mask, the face should be compressed using an ice cube wrapped in washcloth so that the pores of the skin that are open due to treatment, close again.

Finally, facial skin is refreshed according to the type of facial skin and, if necessary, can use a moisturizing cream as under makeup or base foundation or as a moisturizer, which will be continued with makeup.
